Overall I am very pleased with this camera. I would recomend it to anyone looking for an easy to install high qaulity webcam. The camera arrived in a nice retail box. It contained a CD and manual. The software on the CD was obsolete.
I recomend that before installing the software packaged with the camera that you check Logitech website and download the most up to date software. This will save you the step of uninstalling the obsolete software and upgrading to the curent software.
Once the current software was installed the camera was detected by all the applications that can use it. The picture quality is good, but if you have never used a webcam before, dont expect to get anywhere near digital still photo quality out of it especially from more than a few feet away.
The "follow me" face tracking function of the software works amazingly well. It zooms in and out and pans the zoomed image (the camera does not move) to keep your face and only your face in the frame. Its cool but it annoys some of the people I video chat with.
Overall I am very happy with this camera. It receives a 4/5 from me because from the position I have it mounted (about 10' from the subject) it does not get a very sharp picture even when zoomed in. There is an option to adjust resolution but that doesn't seem to apply to web video chatting services. If you plan to use the camera in a typical monitor top application where you are within a foot or 2 of the device, this is a superb camera.

This webcam is really nice. It autozooms to your face, no matter how close or far you sit from your screen. The software also works seamlessly, providing enough added light to make facial details stand out well in dark rooms or if you're near a window during the daytime. I hope that this camera comes down in price a little, because that is the only thing that differentiates it from its competitiors. I believe this is a superior product otherwise!

I bought one of these web cams for myself and 3 more for Christmas gifts for relatives. No one has been able to download to Vista operating system. I "googled" my problem and found that there were dozens of people who were receiving the same error notice and most were unable to resolve the problem. Several people had problems but found solutions. They offered several solutions which I, and numerous other googlers tried, but did not work for us. Do not buy this product until Logitech and/or Vista os gets the bugs out.

The picture quality from this camera puts all of our friends cameras to shame. Video is smooth and clear, not jumpy or blurry.
