I bought this product brand new and after only 5 days the drive had a catastrophic failure.
I spend over $150 trying to recover the data, but all was lost.
Western Digital refused to help me in any way and didn't offer any compensation.
DON'T put your life on this passport - it is not reliable!
DON'T buy this product!!

DO NOT BUY ANYTHING from Western Digital. Unreliable and they have the horrible customer service. I bought a hard drive (500G) from them that broke down after 5 days. They told me that it wasn't their fault and refused to help. HORRIBLE experience. I lost 500 gigs of data.

I brought this hard drive for storing and transferring my data. It works pretty well with my Dell laptop.
Pros:-
1. very small and handy
2. no additional power needed
Cons:-
1. Slightly slow in data transfer rate, it took about 20 minutes for transferring 20 GB of data)
2. the USB cable is slightly small
Haven't used the sync software hence no comments on that

I already had bought a WD HD (120 GB). Then, I decided to buy one with more memory (500GB). It's excelent!

My one gripe about these things: the LED status light is easily as bright as a pocket flashlight. In a darkened room, it's totally obnoxious. I don't know why electronics manufacturers think it's necessary to use the brightest ... Read More
