I wanted a basic black skirt. I dont like spending a lot of money on something so simple so I thought American Apparel would be a good alternative. Good thing I read the reviews first and found out this is a childs size. I'm 5'3", about 110 lb and a medium fit well. However, the skirt is sewn poorly and it kind of sticks out a little on one side. I took the seam apart and fixed it myself and now it's not bad. I'm sure there are some that are better sewn than others but I guess you get what you pay ... Read More

way way too short and tight tight tight.. I ended up giving it to my daughter and it was small on her too, but she likes that sort of thing.

Nice garment for the price. I ordered 4 colors. I wear them like shorts to garden or to run, hike etc, very comfortable, I just wish it came with pockets. It does look short on me, but since it is a skort it is modest enough. I only weight 105 lbs and 5 feet tall, I usually wear extra small. I ordered small and it is a little tight, so medium is best. So I am trying to say order TWO sizes smaller.
