This electric food chopper accomplishes a food processor's principal function of chopping and mincing without having to haul out the big machine. It's just 8 inches high and 4-3/4 inches in diameter, and its 3-cup bowl is ample for many chores in a family household and most chores in a one or two-person household. At 150 watts, the motor is powerful enough to chop or mince vegetables, fruits, herbs, cheese, nuts, chocolate, cooked meats, and bread. The power head has a soft grip for easy one-handed use. Wish I had purchased this item years ago. My arthritis is getting worse and since it was recommended in Consumer Reports Magazine decided to give it a try. I found it works wonderfully for onions, bell peppers and garlic, I am forever chopping very small amounts can't believe the time I save and it is too EASY to use. Clean-up is very simple. I would recommend this item VERY highly and plan to purchase another for a gift.

Ive had mine for 5 years or less and my mom and aunt have wanted it so bad! I bought both of them one this past christmas. It is so easy to use and the clean up is so simple. It is dishwasher safe so all you really have to do is wipe down the top after use, put the other parts in the dishwasher and your done. Easy storage being as it is so small and ther are so little parts. I do have to advise it only cuts small portions which is great if you are cooking for 1 or 2 people. I woud highly recommend ... I went out to the store the day before Thanksgivig in desire (not really need) of a small chopper to make this parsley and lemon thing to stuff my turkey. The store I went to had this unit. I bought it on a whim and yes, it did the job, but it doesn't do ALL jobs. The herb and citrus mixture chopped great. This little sucker does a GREAT job! I got me one and absolutely LOVED it. So, for Christmas, I got my parents and father-in-law one. Haven't heard their response, yet. I have a big Cuisinart and don't use it like I should because it's so inconvenient dragging it out and putting it back up. The Black and Decker is SO light and easy to use, it's amazing. I've spent many years and lots of money trying to find a GOOD chopper for my wife's cooking chores. Everyone I bought she gave away or put out with the garbage until this one. She loves the job it does and how simple it is to use and clean.
